The Department of Business Development hosted the 'Northern Franchise Festival 2012' between July 21st and 23rd on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Kad Suan Kaew.
The festival's goal has been to promote new franchise business start-ups by raising awareness of the opportunities business franchises present to investors.
Phikul Taksinwarajarn, deputy director of The Department of Business Development, expressed that franchises have become very important to the business cycle in Thailand. Business owners who wish to expand their operations or want a lower risk investment opportunity have historically done well with franchises.
The festival also has let businesses show their efficiency and strength in both the domestic and international markets. The fair also helped to show the preparedness these businesses have for the coming ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. 30 booths of businesses that were certified by the Department of Business Development in categories such as food and beverage, spas, and education were at the festival.
